Full Smile Makeovers
Do you cover your mouth when you laugh or carefully position yourself for photos to hide your smile? Maybe you avoid certain social situations because you feel self-conscious about stained, chipped, or uneven teeth that don't reflect the confidence you feel inside.
Dr. Joshua Wansten understands that your smile is one of the first things people notice about you. When you’re not happy with it, it affects how you relate to others and present yourself to the world. At Gaslight Village Dentistry, we’re passionate about providing full smile makeovers that combine treatments to create a beautiful, harmonious smile you can’t wait to share.
What Makes a Complete Smile Makeover
Dr. Wansten takes an artistic, design-focused approach to treatment planning. He considers tooth shape and size, color, and positioning and how these aspects work together to create perfect harmony and balance.
Using advanced digital smile design technology, we can give you a preview of your new smile before treatment begins. By working closely together, we ensure that the results align perfectly with your vision and exceed your expectations.

Frequently Asked Questions
A full smile makeover typically takes 2 to 6 months to complete, depending on the specific treatments involved and your individual goals. The process is generally faster than full mouth reconstruction because it focuses primarily on the visible teeth rather than addressing underlying structural issues.
Factors Affecting Treatment Timeline
The duration depends on which cosmetic procedures you choose. Porcelain veneers might require 3–4 weeks from start to finish, while combining multiple treatments like professional whitening, veneers, and gum contouring could extend the timeline to several months. CEREC same-day crowns can often be completed in a single visit.
Typical Smile Makeover Phases
- Phase 1: Comprehensive evaluation and smile design (1–2 weeks)
- Phase 2: Any necessary preparatory work, like gum treatment (2–4 weeks)
- Phase 3: Primary cosmetic treatments like veneers or crowns (2–6 weeks)
- Phase 4: Final refinements and adjustments (1–2 weeks)
Planning Your Smile Makeover Timeline
During your consultation, we'll create a detailed timeline based on your specific treatment plan. We can often coordinate treatments to minimize the number of appointments while ensuring excellent results. For special events, we'll work with you to complete your makeover in time for important dates.
Many patients see dramatic improvements even during treatment, as we provide beautiful temporary restorations when needed.

How We Create Your Dream Smile
A full smile makeover is an excellent option for anyone with otherwise healthy teeth who wants to address aesthetic concerns, including:
- Persistent tooth staining that doesn't respond to regular whitening
- Teeth that seem too small, short, or worn down
- Gaps or spacing that make you feel self-conscious
- Proportions that just don't look quite right
- Minor chips or irregularities that catch your attention
- Overall smile harmony that needs improvement
Dr. Wansten creates beautiful smile transformations, carefully selecting treatments that address your specific smile goals:
- Professional teeth whitening
- Dental bonding
- Tooth-colored fillings
- SureSmile® clear aligners
- Cosmetic gum reshaping
- Custom porcelain crowns
During your evaluation, Dr. Wansten may find that you can benefit from both cosmetic enhancement and functional restoration. In that case, we seamlessly integrate necessary restorative work with your smile makeover plan to address health and aesthetics together.

Testimonial
Modern, Kind, and Thorough Dental Care.
I don’t dread the dentist anymore! This office is great. The dentist is a really kind and intelligent person and takes the time to answer questions. He explains the why and how of any necessary treatments needed. I love my hygienist and Peggy Jane is a front desk rock star! Christy is really personable as well. I feel like the technology is much more modern than my last dentist. And…bring your bite guard. They’ll deep clean it for free!
